Mobiroo – A Subscription Based App Store

Mobiroo

Subscription based services have been increasing in popularity over the last few years.  There are several video services, such as Netflix and Hulu, and several different music services, such as Spotify and Rdio.  Now a new company, called Mobiroo, is looking to expand that idea to an app store.

Here’s the basic idea: You pay $2.49/month (will go up to $4.99 after intro rate ends) for unlimited access to their app store and have the ability to download and install anything you can find.  These are all paid apps that would normally cost you $0.99+ per app so if you’re an app hoarder this could be a good option for you.

I’ve signed myself up for the free 14 day trial and am browsing the through the store as I type and it looks like they have a pretty decent selection of applications and games to choose from.  It’s not nearly as extensive as the Google Play Store but this new service is in its infancy so there’s definitely lots of space to grow.

If this has piqued your interest head over to the link below and grab your own free 14 day trial.  I’m not too sure if I’m personally sold on a subscription app store but I can see this being a cost saver for many people.
