App Review : TuneIn Radio

I was looking for a new app to listen to music or podcasts, since I started going to the gym a few weeks ago. I wasn’t interested in apps like Rdio, since I didn’t feel the need to discover new music or to get involved in a new social network. I wanted something simple. Since I really like to listen to certain shows from local radio stations, I was also looking for an app with an FM tuner. And I found TuneIn Radio.

I really don’t have anything negative to say about this app. If you want to listen to regular radio, the app uses GPS location to offer you all the local stations, even with the logo and sometimes live info. Plus, you can browse through hundreds of radio stations from all over the country, using categories (Sports, News, Music, Talk, etc.) or the powerful search tool. You also get an impressive distribution of podcasts. The app itself looks amazing and sharp, and it’s easy to navigate (you can save any podcast, radio station or radio show in your Favorites).

If you’re tired of listening to your own music, if you want to have access to hundreds of radio shows and podcasts from a wide range of topics and languages, I strongly recommend TuneIn Radio.
